Margaret learned to cook in her Mother’s southern kitchen in Oklahoma. Margaret's first career as a geophysical computer programmer took her to Algeria, England & China with Patrick Riley, her husband of 32 years. While overseas, Margaret learned cooking techniques, table etiquette and recipes from her friends around the world. After retiring to Durango, Margaret realized her passion for cooking and started her second career as a personal chef. With the encouragement of friends, Margaret cooks as a personal chef at Tall Spruce House, a vacation resort rental in Durango's Animas Valley, the Guest House at Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs, also in the Animas Valley and in private homes in the Durango area.
